Well, that's been quite the ride. I've been hit by the inspiration bug and spent the last week doing a lot of work on an 'alternate timeline' project that has really taken on a life of its own. It's already a full hundred pages, which should give you an idea of how much I've fallen into this. I'm tired, sick, and behind on my housework, but I haven't felt this energized in a long time. I'm just not sure what to do with this project. Do I post it here in excerpts, or start yet another blog for people to follow it? Do I post it to an online forum for feedback? Or do I just sit on it and keep it to myself? It's not something I can publish, since it's a modern-day pop-culture alternate history.
Decisions, decisions. Any feedback would be welcome. If you're interested in seeing more, let me know.
I think excerpts here, rather than an other blog to follow would be best. We can already filter with labels and search. But an online writing forum would get more reach for more specialized feedback.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you think it'd be unpublishable?
It's unpublishable because it's an alternate history using current pop-culture material. I wouldn't want to step on any copyright toes. I'm probably going to be putting it on the alternatehistory.com forums. But I'll definitely do some excerpts here to give people an idea of what I'm doing.
